Vedant Srinivasan
Co-President, Director of Research and Publications
Vedant Srinivasan is a sophomore in the SFS, majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA) with minors in Computer Science and French. Within the realm of artificial intelligence, he is interested in US-China dynamics, the diffusion of AI stacks, and AI’s effects on productivity.
Currently, he is a research assistant in the STIA department. In his free time, he plays soccer and watches stand-up comedy.

Tristan Williams
Co-President, Director of Strategy
Tristan Williams is pursuing a Masters in Security Studies through SFS. Previously, he was a Research Fellow with the Center for AI Policy where he wrote reports on the societal risks posed by AI and policy solutions needed to solve them, also organizing briefings with congressional staffers to educate on those risks.
Away from AI he enjoys listening to music (mostly indie & electronic), playing tennis & video games (don't ask which), thinking about community (currently writing a book on it), and writing occasionally.

Carolina Oxenstierna
Managing Advisor
Carolina Oxenstierna is a recent graduate of the SFS, where she majored in Culture & Politics with a concentration in AI governance, internet studies, and cybersecurity.
She has previously worked at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy under the Biden administration, the Brookings Institution, and recently did research on US-China cooperation on AI safety at the Centre for the Governance of AI.
She is currently an AI Governance Research Manager at ERA Cambridge.

Raghav Akula
Managing Advisor
Raghav Akula is a junior in the SFS with a major in Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA) and a certificate in Diplomatic Studies. His AI-related interests span security, U.S.-China relations, and safety, including compute governance, the Chinese AI ecosystem, U.S. diffusion, and both global and corporate power concentration.
He’s currently an AI Policy Fellow with the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy and enjoys movies, playing soccer, music, and South Asian dance groups at Georgetown.

Celina Brar
Director of Communications
Celina is a Full-Time MBA candidate at Georgetown's McDonough School of Business. Before business school, she worked in communications across public, private, and nonprofit organizations, exploring how AI can be used to accelerate the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Emma Nicotra
Director of Outreach and Partnerships
Emma Nicotra is a sophomore in the College double-majoring in Philosophy and Operations Research. Her interests in artificial intelligence include values alignment, economic transition, and the democratic diffusion of technology.
She currently works with AI for All Tomorrows and also serves in the office of her Representative in the House. Originally from Denver, Colorado, she enjoys running, climbing, and listening to podcasts.

Leah Ferentinos
AI Policy Fellowship Facilitator
Leah Ferentinos is a Product Policy Manager at Credo AI. She previously managed Trust & Safety GRC initiatives at KPMG & served as a Policy Manager at Meta, driving information integrity policy development.
She has held research roles at Yale Law School’s Information Society Project, the Floyd Abrams Institute for Freedom of Expression, & the Annenberg Public Policy Center. Leah co-founded the Information Professional’s Association NYC chapter & serves on advisory committees for All Tech Is Human, the Integrity Institute, & Stanford’s Deliberative Democracy Lab. Leah holds dual graduate degrees from Penn Law & the Annenberg School at Penn.

Bhumika Nebhnani
AI Policy Fellowship Facilitator
Bhumika Nebhnani is a Master of Public Policy candidate at Georgetown University focusing on AI governance and the societal impacts of emerging technologies. She currently supports research at the Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET) through the AGORA platform by analyzing and annotating global AI laws, governance frameworks, and regulatory proposals. In parallel, she also serves as the Communications & Events Graduate Associate at Georgetown’s Massive Data Institute (MDI), working closely with faculty and researchers across AI, data science, and public policy.
Recently, she co-founded and co-hosted AI Square, a podcast that translates complex AI issues into accessible conversations for the public. Previously, she worked at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (India) in the Technology & Society Program, contributing to research on cybersecurity and AI policy.

Erin Malloy
Programe Associate
Erin Malloy is a sophomore in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs with a concentration in science, technology, and security. She is an incoming intern in the office of a Massachusetts Congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives and previously interned at the Massachusetts State Senate.
Her academic interests include Eastern European history and politics, energy security, and the role of artificial intelligence in modern conflict.

Jonas Pfefferman
Discussion Group Co-Lead
Jonas Pfefferman is a sophomore in the School of Foreign Service pursuing a major in Science, Technology, and International Affairs. Having worked with and coded machine learning models in the past, he is interested in how policy is applied to the implementation and development of models.
He is originally from San Diego, California and enjoys running, reading, and maintaining a healthy balance between playing the piano and Mariokart in his free time. -

Shardul Krishna Kumar
Discussion Group Co-Lead
Shardul Krishna Kumar is a sophomore in the College majoring in Government and Economics with a minor in Tech, Ethics, and Society. Within the AI-realm, he is interested in cybersecurity, US-China competition, and impacts on the economy and workforce. Last semester, he worked on the Hill for Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi of Illinois, and is currently a University Liaison for the AI Collective.
In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, practicing music, and celebrating cultural events.

Angela Sidhu

Angela Sidhu (she/her) is an undergraduate student at Georgetown University majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Tech, Ethics, and Society and a minor in Business Studies. Outside of GAIA, Angela is a project manager for the nonprofit consulting club DCivitas, organizes Georgetown's hackathon HoyaHacks, writes for the blog on The Hoya, and serves as an ESCAPE leader. She is also a Fritz Family Fellow with Tech & Society and works on AI and Emerging Tech research at the Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation.

Mimi Lee is a junior in the College majoring in Psychology and minoring in Tech, Ethics & Society. She is interested in AI Safety, technology and wellbeing, and intellectual property in the context of AI generated content. At Georgetown, she is a research assistant in the Happy Tech lab in the psychology department, studying LLMS, homogenization, and creativity.

Robert Chong is a sophomore in the SFS, majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA). He is interested in how AI impacts US-China power dynamics and the workforce.
Currently, he is an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the Mortara Center. During his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and watching Formula 1.
