Raghav Akula
President
Raghav Akula is a junior in the SFS with a major in Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA) and a certificate in Diplomatic Studies. His AI-related interests span security, U.S.-China relations, and safety, including compute governance, the Chinese AI ecosystem, U.S. diffusion, and both global and corporate power concentration.
He’s currently an AI Policy Fellow with the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy and enjoys movies, playing soccer, music, and South Asian dance groups at Georgetown.

Carolina Oxenstierna
Senior Advisor
Carolina Oxenstierna is a recent graduate of the SFS, where she majored in Culture & Politics with a concentration in AI governance, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure. Carolina is the former Vice President of GAIA, and was a part of the original leadership of GAIA. She will now be supporting GAIA leadership as an alumni advisor!
She has previously worked at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and recently did research on US-China cooperation on AI safety at the Centre for the Governance of AI. She now works with the Brookings Institution on AI Policy.

Emma Nicotra
Director of Outreach and Partnerships
Emma Nicotra is a sophomore in the College double-majoring in Philosophy and Operations Research. Her interests in artificial intelligence include values alignment, economic transition, and the democratic diffusion of technology.
She currently works with AI for All Tomorrows and also serves in the office of her Representative in the House. Originally from Denver, Colorado, she enjoys running, climbing, and listening to podcasts.

Vedant Srinivasan
Director of Research and Publications
Vedant Srinivasan is a sophomore in the SFS, majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA) with minors in Computer Science and French. Within the realm of artificial intelligence, he is interested in US-China dynamics, the diffusion of AI stacks, and AI’s effects on productivity.
Currently, he is a research assistant in the STIA department. In his free time, he plays soccer and watches stand-up comedy.

Robert Chong
Operations Support
Robert Chong is a sophomore in the SFS, majoring in Science, Technology, and International Affairs (STIA). He is interested in how AI impacts US-China power dynamics and the workforce.
Currently, he is an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the Mortara Center. During his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and watching Formula 1.
